The Philadelphia Police Foundation (the Foundation) is an independent non-profit organization which engages business, professional and civic communities in advancing the mission of the Philadelphia Police Department (the Department).
The Foundation supports collaboration, in-kind resources and training, and funding for the PPD, above and beyond the scope of the city budget. Your assistance in these key initiatives greatly accelerates the Department’s ability to make progress quickly, and to provide better quality service to all Philadelphians. The Foundation also accepts non-earmarked financial support for general use and short-term assistance for the Department.
Currently the Foundation is supporting the following projects:

The Philadelphia Police Foundation proudly supports the Philadelphia Police Department’s efforts to bring back the Mounted Unit. Cops and horses were a vital part of the Department’s patrol strategy until 2004 when the unit was disbanded due to budgetary constraints.

Welcome to Philadelphia's future Real-Time Crime Center. It's a virtual marketplace, but not for traders, for law enforcement.

The Foundation brings the knowledge and resources of the private sector to the Department through corporate management and leadership training, executive education, professional seminars, and university-sponsored workshops.

The Foundation provides the funds to help the Department keep pace with the ever-changing landscape of police protection, weapons and equipment. The Department does everything possible to keep its officers safe, and the Foundation supports all efforts to ensure that Philly's finest continue to have state-of-the art equipment.
